She absolutely, tearfully, hated it and we finally let her out of it. As I read your post, I realize that doing it was probably more about us than her, too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8386440672790322342.post-63570459279598804352011-10-26T04:55:25.900-07:002011-10-26T04:55:25.900-07:00I hear you. They don't look like much more than lumps of clay. But in Nathan's mind, they are beautiful. And so they are beautiful to me.Grace Noteshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02458469065320480799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8386440672790322342.post-5777753585013831912011-10-12T13:27:05.836-07:002011-10-12T13:27:05.836-07:00You're absolutely right. I think it is lovely that you were not only gracious with your kids, but gracious to yourself. A nice big latte doesn't change anything, but sometimes helps to patiently endure!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17912634410628969846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8386440672790322342.post-67568556946064541522011-10-10T18:32:22.033-07:002011-10-10T18:32:22.033-07:00Just wanted to post another comment and say I read...Just wanted to post another comment and say I read everything you write, and it's a blessing. Hang in there, and please give the Special Olympics a try. And it must have torn you up while you were figuring out whether one more week would make it work for him or not. So many opportunities for mama-guilt even when we're just trying to give our kids good things.

Jeremy sure laid the guilt on me today when I didn't pick him up after school because I was in the MUR helping run the school book fair. Poor kid waited 30 minutes on the blacktop until he finally found me in the fair. I assumed he'd come to me at the fair and when he didn't, I thought he'd biked himself home since Frank was there.Karen Bowershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05651441739729904941noreply@blogger.com
